Installation view  LONG Pan and  Kirsten Palz. In Jiayuanhai art museum, Shanghai.

影响 (2023–2025)

The video 影响 was shown in the exhibition Landscapes of Futures Past, curated by David Elliott & Rachel Rits-Volloch in Jiayuanhai art museum. The exhibition brought together contemporary video art, digital animation, installation, and traditional artistic media such as tapestry and painting, reframed through the lens of our digitized era.

The catalogue text notes:

A landscape is a terrain, or a view of it, that we endow with aesthetic, emotional, spiritual, and physical qualities. Predominantly natural, it may reflect a sense of beauty, permanence, and place, yet it is also subject to fluctuating pressures and changes.

The landscape images and scenes featured in 影响 are synthetically created using AI production tools, in dialogue with the history of landscape photography.
