TRANSMITTER (2020)

Transmitter is a video work based on data from the pharmaceutical industry. The video depicts the 200 most commonly distributed and sold medications for human use. Presented as an endless loop of slides, the work creates a continuous stream of information, offering a methodical and data-driven commentary on the intersection of industry, drug consumption, and collective health.

This work contributes to KP's broader research into the human condition, exploring themes of rationalization, optimization, and the status quo of the living world. By focusing on the circulation of pharmaceutical drugs, Transmitter invites reflection on consumption patterns, dependency, and the commodification of health in contemporary society.

The video was created as part of the exhibition Re-imagining America at Spor Klübü in 2020. The exhibition examined themes of artist migration and self-awareness in relation to society, showcasing works by Berlin-based artists who have lived and worked between New York City and Berlin.
